Some people know me as a professional fighter, a coach or organizer of events, others know me as a manager and leader, and some as an advisor or consultant. My life has taken me on a interesting path and for more than 20 years now I have been involved in so many different areas that it is really hard to explain what am I good at, or what do I do. I can only offer some basic information here, and for those who wish to know more, please google my name or follow my social profiles as reading everything about me would be a time-consuming task I wish to protect you from.
My professional career is a mixture of diverse disciplines and sectors, which blended uniquely and shaped my personality into an individual who is capable of leading multicultural teams on completing complex projects, to one who can operate as a single unit in various environments with minimal dependency on guidance and support. All I always needed was a target and a set of rules to abide by.
As a former MMA fighter and title holder, Black belt in BJJ and instructor who produced champions in the field, my ability to understand people and to guide them towards achieving their goals, or the goals of the organization has a proven track record. Discipline, dedication and commitment are the core values I employ in any aspect of my life, and they were mastered for more than two decades of painful practice.
My experience with diverse cultures and the specifics of national and ethnical differences was gained through living in the United Arab Emirates for seventeen years, during which travelling to other parts of the world was part of my jobs. I further increased my knowledge in this field by extensive reading on organizations and behavior, and psychology. My education in business administration and coaching methodology followed by numerous specialized courses on corporate finance, economics, digital marketing and sports marketing added value to my personal attributes and played key role in shaping my business career.
As a manager, I was selected to lead Abu Dhabi’s project initiative on incorporating the martial art of Jiu-Jitsu in all government schools as part of their educational curriculum, a mission directed by the Crown Prince of the emirate. As a Technical Manager I was leading a team of 400 professional instructors, and a number of team leaders and supervisors, helped create the training programs, assessment criteria, health and safety standards and all other technical aspects of the project. More than 85,000 kids are still practicing weekly under the curriculum and standards set by the company I worked for. As events were vital part of the program’s development milestones, I played key roles in organizing hundreds of competitions, demonstrations, exhibitions and sport fairs.
As an event manager, I had the honor of running thousands of sporting events on four continents, taking part in all organizational elements. From initial stage concepts, lights, sound, screen play, building and managing the teams of people working on the event, to the brand’s marketing campaign, monetization strategies, network coverage, contracts on copy rights and distribution, content generation and digital technology implementation. My competency in event management can be verified by reviewing the brand names I helped establish.
As a consultant, I worked for the UAE Presidential Guards on their hand-to-hand combative training, where I managed a team of 6o instructors and designed the training programs, specific courses and the standards for measuring performance. My previous experience with military service in addition to the 5 years of working with the UAE Presidential Guards added some specific attributes to my arsenal. As a sports management consultant I worked with organizations in China, Russia, India and UAE to which I offered wide range of services in the field of building sports infrastructure and event management.
